Motley, affectionately nicknamed Mooch, is our keeper girl out of Volta x Pryme ‘24 and Golden Oak’s very first Young Hopeful.

She had a phenomenal first hunting season, picking up around 120 ducks and geese and close to 70 upland game birds. Motley is a very intelligent, biddable girl with wonderful blind manners. She scarcely needs a correction more than a raised eyebrow, and she absolutely lives for praise. She is the perfect combination of high drive and low arousal, making for an easy, enjoyable hunting companion. Outside of the field, she is showing great promise in dock diving, earning an invitation to Regionals at her very first NADD competition, and is steadily earning points towards her UKC conformation Championship. At home, she has an incredible off switch and would be happy to cuddle on the couch all day long. We are very proud of Motley’s progress thus far and excited to see her continue to shine!
