Volta is my foundation bitch and the inspiration behind Golden Oak Labrador Retrievers. She is truly a once-in-a-lifetime dog— everyone who meets her is better for it. She is an incredible mother to her puppies and consistently outproduces herself. We are unbelievably proud to have such an extraordinary girl as the matriarch for our program.

Volta is a force to be reckoned with in the field. She is a very balanced hunter with excellent blind manners, great marking ability, and a ton of grit. Her biggest strength is the blind retrieve. Her whistle stops are consistently flawless, she takes hand signals beautifully, and her nose is unmatched. She is not at all afraid to throw herself into a blackberry tangle to get her bird. She is also a phenomenal upland dog, with a particularly exceptional nose for turkeys, pheasants and quail.
